“Behzad is not only the best real estate professional I have ever worked with, he is one of the best business relationships I have had the pleasure of building. He is extremely knowledgeable in regards to geography/location, price/value, and the entire process of buying or selling a home. However, it is Behzad’s ability to prove he is your asset and partner in the process that separates him from the rest…” - JTebben

History

The land now known as Corte Madera and its majestic redwoods, were part of the Mexican land grant given to John Reed in the 1830’s. Reed wasted little time in bringing the timber industry to the area, and some of the wood harvests here was used in the construction of the Presidio in San Francisco.

The Gold Rush and the railroad brought steady growth to the town. The first post office opened in 1878 and the town incorporated in 1916. Eventually the railroad and much of the timber industry left the town, and it slowly shrunk in population until it stabilized at its current numbers.

Corte Madera is “twin cities” with nearby Larkspur, sharing law enforcement and other resources with their neighbor.
